It was not at all easy to get into the shoes of little ‘Chakor’. It is a lifetime experience”, says the young actress Meera Deosthale.
Meera the young Chakor in daily soap ‘Udaan’ was in Bhopal on Thursday along with her co-star Vijayendra Kumeria who plays male protagonist ‘Sooraj’. They were here to talk about their show ‘Udaan’.
While talking to the media persons, Meera and Vijayendra shared their journey in Udaan and also talked about their onscreen chemistry.
Speaking about her role as Chakor, Meera said, “Chakor is a very strong character. I will never compare her character with any other. She is different and stands by her aim.”
Meera hared that during the shoot she had to face many problems. “Firstly I never thought that I will be a grown up Chakor. Secondly, Chakor used to be bare foot in her childhood, so even I had to do shoot bare-foot for which I required a lot of practice. At least for four days I walked bare-foot on wet soil, limestone, hot surface of land. I will remember this experience all my life.”
Commenting about his character, Sooraj, Vijayendra said, “Sooraj’s character has many shades. He turned grey from negative to positive now and romantic. His and Chakor's love story has undergone many ups and downs. Although, they are deeply in love, destiny has always kept them apart.”
He said, “I feel connected with Sooraj when he shows his positive side. But it was not very difficult to jump from one shade to another.” Both were really excited to be in Bhopal and enjoyed its delicacies too.
The social drama Udaan highlights the life of a strong-willed Chakor, as she attempts to free herself and the villagers of Azadganj from the shackles of bonded labour.
