A Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS) of Dukura village under the Khunta police limits in Mayurbhanj district died at Dukura late on Tuesday night. The reason of the untimely death of 35-year-old Anup Nayak are not yet ascertained although police are investigating into it> Some describe it as a pre-planned killing.
According to reports, when Nayak did not return home till late on Tuesday night, his family members and neighbours got worried. After a hectic search, Nayak’s dead body was found in a dug-well belonging to one Dina Mahali in the village.
Nayak, who is survived his wife, a son and a daughter, had some time back won the Second Best GRS award for his efficiency in the field of house distribution under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
