City Mayor Pramod Dubey and District Collector OP Chaudhary on Tuesday made surprise inspection of six ponds.
During the visit, they gathered information regarding deepening and beautification works of ponds.
Both the Mayor and Collector visited Sheetla Talab in Kota, Ama and Dhobi Talab in Ramkund, Narayya Talab in Tikrapara, Katora Talab and one more pond in labhandih area. Besides this, they ordered to accelerate the pace of development works and completion of deepening of ponds within a week without compromising on the quality of works at the earliest. Meanwhile, the Collector directed the Zone-8 municipal officials to plant saplings at 25 acres of government land located at Heerapur-Jarvaay area of Veer Sawarkar Nagar Ward No-1 besides removing encroachment on the government land.
