Day temperatures have reached discomforting level in the city on Friday after Bhopal recorded day temperature at 35.3 degree Celsius, the highest of the month.
The withdrawal of monsoon has started but it is yet to be declared officially. The weathermen have predicted that in a couple of days there are chances of rain in Eastern part of the State.
Among the major cities Indore 34.6 degree Celsius, Gwalior recorded 36.9 degree Celsius which was the highest day temperature among the major cities and Jabalpur recorded 33.8 degree Celsius.
Night temperatures are still soothing and provide relief from the hot and humid conditions. The night temperatures are witnessed around 21 degree Celsius.
Festive season which started witnessing heavy downpour in the season has provided relief for the devotees celebrating Durga festival which would complete on Saturday.
Except few regions rainfall for crops was adequate. The water levels in water bodies across the State have reached around respective levels with few exceptions.
Almost dry conditions have prevailed in the state with 2-3 regions which witnessed.
Gandwani recorded 3 cm of rainfall, Singrauli 2 cm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.
According to the forecast light rainfall and thundery activities are likely to be witnessed in Sidhi, Singrauli , Rewa, Annupur, Balaghat and Shahdol districts while remaining districts are likely to witness dry conditions.
The day and night difference has increased after the rainfall ceased in the past three to four days.
The day and night temperatures would be witnessed around 35 and 22 degree Celsius on Saturday. In the past 24 hours Indore, Rewa and Shahdol divisions received rainfall at few places.
