leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh has alleged that more than six months have passed after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had made eight announcements on June 11, but they still need to be fulfilled.
These announcements were made the next day after Chouhan had observed fast on the death of farmers by bullets.
These announcements were related to establishment of village centre, farmers’ market, purchase of udad, tur and moong on Minimum Support price (MSP). The years 2017 is passing by, but the Chief Minister is yet to start implementing his announcements, Singh alleged.
Singh stated that in the passing year, the farmers remained harassed with the false promises of the State Government and the year 2017 would be remembered because in this year, 14-year-old agriculture development of the BJP Government was exposed.
Singh claimed that after having killed the innocent farmers by police, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan found it going against him, he came out with a drama of observing fast. later, the fast too came to an end dramatically.
While concluding his fast, he had made eight announcements, but forgot them as per his habit.
Similarly, Singh stated that Chouhan came out with another scheme Bhavantar Bhugtan yojana to cheat the farmers. Nobody could understand this scheme, as barring farmers, the scheme was beneficial for everybody.
Singh stated that in past one year, more than 1,300 farmers committed suicide and it was only due to false promises and the policies of the State Government.
