The home-coming of elephant headed god is being celebrated with a lot of zest, the Bhopalites are showing their affection and devotion for the Vinayaka in different ways. Pandals have been decorated with fizzy shades and different forms of the diety have been installed in the pandals.
Going extremely creative and unique one of the pandals in the city has installed ‘Bappa Ki Pathshala’. It is a theme based Pandal set up by Jai Hind Ganesh Utsav Samiti at Nehru Nagar. The pandal has become an eye-catcher of the city. People from different areas are being attracted towards the deity’s form of a teacher.
While talking about the Bappa Ki Pathshala, organizer of the pandal Ravi Mena informed The Pioneer, “Every year we endeavour to install different theme based idol of lord Ganesha to spread awareness about different social issue. This year we have installed Bappa in the form of a teacher keeping in view the Education System.”
Ravi said it is not less than a daily school routine. “We have set up black board and every day a new subject is taught to the students. Even the children are attracted towards the Ganesha idol,” he added.
The 8feet Ganesha idol is prepared purely with clay keeping in view the eco-friendly Ganesha festival celebrations.
Interestingly, the social issues like cleanliness, right to education and others are raised during the Bappa Ki Pathshala.
