During the course of the 3rd Children’s Summer Camp organised under the aegis of the East Coast Railway Staff Benefit Fund from May 22 to 30, among other activities, children took part in two very relevant activities of current times.
The children learnt how to plant a sapling. Each one of them planted a sapling. They also cared for saplings during the course of the camp by watering them every day. They took a pledge to plant as many trees as possible during their lifetimes and to take care of them.
The children also took a route march for social awareness with messages on old age care, respecting and taking care of their elders, protection of environment and maintenance of cleanliness.
