Members of the Koraput District Congress Committee (DCC), led by Jeypore MlA Tara Prasad Bahinipati and DCC president Meenakshi Bahinipati, staged a dharna in front of the Koraput Central Cooperative (KCC) Bank here on Tuesday.
They demanded a CBI inquiry into the irregularities committed in the KCC Bank and to give justice to the tribals of the undivided Koraput district.
Hundreds of Congress activists took out a rally from the local Congress Bhawan to the KCC Bank.
Bahinipati blamed the KCC Bank President and other officials for alleged corruptions in the bank and demanded a CBI investigation.
MlA Bahinipati also demanded action against the bank authorities while alleging that they have disbursed fake loans of crores of rupees.
Among others, Nihar Bisoyi, Durga Sharma, Bhagwan Bahinipati, Nori Mohanty, Hassan Madani, Ajit Samantray and Tirpati Guru were present.
