A woman employee of Jagatsinghpur Municipality on Wednesday lodged a FIR against Executive Officer Bikash Sethy alleging that the former officer misbehaved with her while she was accompanying him in an official work to Bhubaneswar.
The victim woman alleged that on Tuesday she was traveling with the executive officer in a car when on the way the officer asked her to go to Puri after ending the official works.
When she refused, the EO threatened her of dire consequence since she was a contractual employee. Moreover, the officer threatened to inform her husband about her extramarital relationship with a fellow employee, the victim stated.
Meanwhile, the police accepted the complaint recording a station diary and referred the matter to the district social security office for investigation, informed Jagatsinghpur police station IIC Rajani Kanta Mishra.
The Internal Committee will inquire into the complaint and give both parties a chance to be heard of; then the report would be given to police station and the district Collector, informed district protection officer Swarnalata Mohapatra.
On the other hand, Executive Officer Bikash Sethy described the allegations as false and malicious.
