Israel has evinced keen interest in exploring possibilities for cooperation with Haryana in dairy farming and horticulture to establish extension centres in the State.
The Israel Ambassador, Daniel Carmon, who along with a delegation, called on Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, OP Dhankar, here apprised the Minister about the projects being implemented in India under the Indo-Israeli Agriculture Project.
The Centres of Excellence for Vegetables and Citrus Fruits have already been established in the state.
He said that Israel was now keen to enter tripartite agreement with Haryana through its agency for extending cooperation in conducting training seminars and other works.
Dhankar suggested that a work force comprising experts from both countries be constituted to explore possibilities for cooperation. He said that a delegation would also be sent to Israel for the same purpose.
He also invited the Ambassador to attend Agri leadership Summit to be organised at Surajkund from March 18 to 20.
