Mayor Malini laxman Singh Gaud inaugurated various development works to be carried out at ward 67 and 71 of the city here on Wednesday. The development works like beautification of parks and establishment of yoga centres at the wards were inaugurated during an event at wards 67 and 71.
During the inaugural ceremony, an oath taking ceremony was also held. Citizens, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) officials and citizens took the pledge of maintaining cleanliness in the city and will also contribute in public awareness about Swacchata Abhiyan.
At ward 71, the developmental works like beautification of Ganesh Mandir garden is being carried out with the expenditure of Rs 74 lakh, beatification of garden near bank colony is being carried out with the expenditure of Rs 73 lakh, beautification and development work of Usha Nagar garden is being carried out with Rs 65 lakh, beautification of garden at Vishwakarma Nagar is being carried out with Rs 78 lakh.
Further at Dravid Nagar, the development work and beautification of gardens is being carried out with Rs 82 lakh. Under the developmental works, a yoga centre, walking track, paver block passage and other works like construction of entry gate will be executed.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Mayor said that a positive atmosphere is maintained across the State as there is the same ruling party at the State and Centre.
“We are provided support in various schemes like cleanliness, drinking water facility, amount is sanctioned under the Chief Minister Infrastructure Development Scheme too.” She further said that various developmental works are in process in city, under which works like Smart City Scheme, Amrit Scheme, Swacch Bharat Mission and more are in process.
She further said that Indore had been ranked first under Swacchta Survey 2017 and the city has to maintain the same position in year 2018 for which the citizens along with IMC have to contribute their bit.
On the occasion councilor of ward 67 Rajesh Shukla and councilor of ward 71 Bharat Parakh were also present.
