Panic created among customers and hotel staff of Courtyard Marriot after receiving information of bomb inside the hotel; bomb squad and police evacuated the hotel but the call was found hoax.
Alert was raised in the morning after an unidentified caller informed Dial 100 regarding a bomb has been planted in Courtyard Marriot after which police and bomb squad rushed to rescue and started search operation but the call was found hoax as nothing suspicious was found.
After searching every corner of the hotel the bomb squad and dog squad teams failed to find explosive. The information was received by Dial 100 after which an alert was raised and immediately bomb squad was pressed into service. The searching which started around 11 am continued till 3 pm.
SHO MP Nagar Sanjay Singh Bais said that around 10.30 am a call was received claiming that a bomb has been planted in hotel Courtyard Marriot but which proved fake. These calls could be taken lightly and have to conduct search the premises.
Police suspects that miscreants got the idea after the hoax bomb call made for district court. In both the cases nothing suspicious was found and no suspect has been detained by the police.
In the past 48 hours police have received two hoax bomb call received by police.
The callers have been identified but the SIM cards used were found to be stolen one.
