The Ganjam Bar Association held a cease work stir on Friday demanding a Bench of the Orissa High Court here. The lawyers also held a demonstration in front of the Bar Association office and blocked a road.
The protestors held placards and shouted slogans. As per decision of the association earlier, the lawyers hold the cease work on last four days of the every month to press for the demand.
Among others, association president Narasingh Patro, secretary Pitabas Panda, vice-president Minati Rath, joint secretary Madan Patro, Jyoti Prasad Chotray, Pradeep Dash, Srikant Patnaik and Trinath Padhy were present. The association threatened to continue the agitation till the demand is fulfilled.
