Ghazal, Mohiniattam performance at Tribal Museum

The music and dance lovers of the city experienced an enthralling eve as they witnessed the innocence and purity of ghazal and Mohiniattam.

Here on Sunday a renowned ghazal singer KK Kawre and dancers Amita Murty and Maya Rajesh from Kerala gave a splendid performance at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum under its Uttaradhikar series of cultural performances.

A cultural programme was organized at Tribal Museum here on Sunday under ‘Uttaradhikar series of cultural programmes.’ The classical music lovers took the pleasure of the classical singing and dancing at the programme.

It is noteworthy that keeping in view the Guru Shishya Parampara, Tribal Museum is organizing a series of classical music and dance under Uttaradhikar series every Sunday.

Notably, hailing from Bhopal KK Kawre is devoted to music. He is a professor at Gandhi Medical College and sings as its his hobby.

Kawre began his performance with ghazal ‘Kya Bhala Mujhko Parakhne Ka Nateeja’. Then he performed Jab Is Zulf Ki Baat Chali, Jab Tere Hain Muskurate Hain and wrapped up his performance with Main Khayal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka mUjhe Sochta Koi Aur Hai that enthralled the audience.

He was accompanied by Naeem Allahwale on Tabla, Arif latif on synthesizer, Raees Shah on violin and Javed Usmani on harmonium.

A huge crowd visited to listen to his melodious ghazals. It was an enthralling experience for the music lovers of the city as they enjoyed the ghazals whole heartedly.

Next it was scintillating Mohiniattam performance by two renoened dancers from Kerala Amita and Maya. They began their performance with Ganesh Vandana.The excellent command of rhythm, as well as her natural flair for profound expression, marked their performance. Their exuberance and the blend of Abhinay with Mohinniattam was a pleasure to watch.Showcasing sampoorna Ramayana they enthralled the audience. They wrapped up their performance with Tilana.

Noted for their effortless pirouettes, amazing footwork and wonderful expressions, the dancers won hearts of the audience in Bhopal with their delightful performance.

Facial expressions were incorporated with the musical sequences. The dance was kept simple yet innovative. The elegant costume and simple look of the performers was another reason of attraction of the show.
