Another spell of snow and rain is awaiting the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand with the Meteorological centre having forecast rain/snow at isolated places especially in Garhwal region for three days starting from Tuesday.
The expected spell might to some extent cover the whopping 51 per cent deficient rainfall of the state this winter season, something that would make those engaged in agriculture and horticulture happy who are staring at a staggering loss, given the worrisome figure of the rain deficit.
The minimum temperatures are below normal to normal in the plains while above normal in the hills of state, the Met officials said. lowest minimum temperature 1.3°C was recorded at Matela in Nainital district.
