A capacity building training on forest law and wildlife law was held at Titilagarh on Thursday. It was attended by forest guards, foresters and range officers of
Muribahal, Bongomunda, Titilagarh and Saintala forest ranges.
ACF Goutam Naik, ACF NK Jaisingh, honourary wildlife warden Sudhir Kumar Mishra and Dolagobind Bisi, among others spoke on different aspects of wildlife protection and conservation laws.
Director, Nature, Environment and Wildlife Society Angul Prasanna Kumar Behera explained in detail about Wildlife Protection Act1972 and various powers given to forest officials in dealing with wildlife.
He stressed the need for proper documentation and also clarified doubtsraised by the participants.
Among others, Titilagarh forest range officer J Nanda, Bongomunda range officer Raju Behera, ACF Sangram Keshari Nayak and the range officer Muribahal attended.
