Chief Minister Raghubar Das, while viewing the presentation on Jharkhand Bhawan coming up in Delhi, directed officials to start the construction work in November and complete it within 20 months. He also approved the presentation with instructions to ensure quality with deadline set in this regard.
Informing about the development Building Construction Department Secretary KK Soan said on Wednesday that the state-of-the-art building studded with all modern and smart facilities is coming up on 70 decimals plot near Connaught Place in the national capital.
“The seven floor building would be fully five star green building with zero energy need. It is expected to cost Rs 70-75 crore including all facilities and is being built on turn-key basis,” said the Secretary after the presentation given.
As per the plan, a high quality restaurant and kitchen would come up on the ground floor while chambers of Chief Minister, Resident Commissioner and Additional Resident Commissioner along with convention hall would be located on the first floor.
“The convention hall would have sitting capacity of 100 people. Total 72 rooms would be in the building including a special suite for Chief Minister and Governor along with two other suites,” added Soan. Jharkhand Bhawan would also be fully friendly to ‘divyangs’ without any barrier.
Basement would be designated as parking with capacity to accommodate 117 vehicles at a time and the entire building would be under CCTV coverage. Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar, Secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal and Uday Patnaik of EFNRAK Consultant were also present during the meeting.
