Punjab’s Minister for Welfare of SCs, BCs Sadhu Singh Dharamsot on Thursday directed the officers of his Department to roll up their sleeves in order to ensure the percolation of benefits of welfare schemes to the needy.
Dharamsot, presiding over a high level meeting, said that in order to provide much-needed respite to the needy and downtrodden population of the state, the priority of the department should be to implement all the welfare schemes in the true spirit. He said that the instructions have been issued to the officers down the line, to ensure the implementation of welfare schemes as enlisted in the five-year plan. Dharamsot informed that the department has also been directed to update within 15 days the data of the schemes implanted vis-à-vis the record of beneficiaries in the 11th and 12th five-year plan.
He urged the officers and employees of the department to work with complete sincerity and dedication for the implementation of schemes in the public interest.
