They apprised the Minister about the Railway Board’s January order debarring Junior Engineers and Senior Section Engineers from becoming office bearers of labour unions so that they can concentrate more on passengers’ safety.
The team told the Minisster that that due to pressure of labour unions, the Railway Board took such a decision.
They urged the Minister to implement the repeated recommendations of safety committees and recognise the All India Railway Engineers’ Federation so that they can concentrate more on passengers safety, and accidents would be reduced.
