The Ekaki, a voluntary organisation, with support of the BMC and the East Coast Railway (ECoR) organised a polio vaccination programme at Brahmapur railway station on Sunday.
Each child below five year of age was administered polio drops both at platforms and train bogies. A total of 194 kids were given two drops of polio each.
The programme held under direct guidance of Ekaki founder Trinath Moharana was attended by ECoR’s Charan Kumar, Chief Health Inspector M Gopal Krishna, Ekaki secretary Bidyadhar Maharana, joint secretary Bijay Chandra Bisoyi, educationist Shyam Sundar Khadanga, Abhimanyu Dhar, Kasinath Behera and Purna Chandra Nayak.
