BJP national general secretary and Odisha-in-charge on Monday called upon voters to attend feasts offered by candidates of other parties but cast votes in favour of his party. “Now, candidates are organising feasts to woo voters to favour them in the panchayat polls. Voters should participate in the feasts but cast votes in favour of the BJP and its supported candidates,” Singh told reporters here.
He said the BJP only can bring development in the State. He cited various pro-people schemes undertaken by the Modi Government at the Centre. However, BJD spokesperson Amar Prasad Satpathy criticised Singh for his statement on offering of feasts to voters. “I don’t know in what context he said this. If he has said this, he will face the same fate as Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal did,” said he.
