Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh’, a philanthropic organisation, will host a cultural soiree on August 7. Popular Bhojpuri singer Kalpana Patwari will perform at the Sakchi Gurdwara grounds. The sangh will host the well-known folk and devotional singer and her 15-member troupe.
Addressing a news conference here on Sunday, Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh founder and former State BJP spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale said the event would be organised on grand scale.
“We are taking every step to ensure proper arrangements. A huge waterproof pandal covering over 35,000 square feet is being constructed at the venue. The 1 km stretch of Kalimati Road in front of Sakchi Gurdwara would be illuminated on both sides. Another attraction will be a 10 feet high Shivling made of ice specially for the event,” said Singh.
He said that they were expecting a turnout of around 15,000 people for the event that will start at 6 pm and continue till midnight.
One of the highlights of the function will be the presentation of Sangh Ratna Seva Award, which was instituted a few years ago. The award is presented to people for their distinguished service towards the society. Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh had been organising function on the last Monday of Shravan. Bhojpuri singer Bharat Sharma had performed at the grounds while noted bhajan singer lakhbir Singh lakkha had mesmerized the audience with his melodious voice in 2009. Popular Bhojpuri singers Manoj Tiwari, and Devi had also staged performances here in the past.
