Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Madhya Pradesh president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan said on Monday that the Congress has done puppetry with the Schedule Castes (SCs) since independence. Not only this, the grand old party did not leave any chance to insult Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar who laid down his life struggling for upliftment of the deprived class of the society.

It is only the BJP that has worked with full fidelity for the dignity and honor of Baba Saheb, said Chouhan while addressing the party workers at party state office on the occasion of office assuming by newly appointed BJP SC cell president Suraj Kairo.

Chouhan further said, “It was only after participation of BJP in power that Bharat Ratna could have been served to Baba Saheb due to efforts made by the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.”

He said that Congress has always used Dalits as only vote bank and never cared for their development. Right from Bharatiya Jana Sangh to BJP efforts have been made to brought social harmony on ground level. Recognizing the craftsman of constitution Baba Saheb the BJP government established Panch Teerth and recognized him as per his intelligence, he added.

The BJP state president said that it was the result of the distortions occurred during the slavery era that the ancestors of SC were made victim of mockery.

The disease of untouch-ability spread in the society. Baba Saheb tried to end the evil of untouch-ability by giving the message of social harmony through constitution. We all are debted to Baba Saheb for that, he added.

BJP state organizational general secretary Suhas Bhagat, senior party leader Narayan Singh Kushwaha, MP Satyanarayan Jatiya and State Minister - Independent Charges lal Singh Arya also addressed the gathering on the occasion.
