The principal of Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) and founder of Youth Foundation Colonel Ajay Kothiyal has said that the foundation would soon start training girls for recruitment in the armed forces. He made this declaration while addressing a cultural programme at Sidhpeeth Mathiyana Khal in Rudraprayag on Friday. He informed that the foundation would soon start recruitment camp for the girls. Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, Rudraprayag MlA, Bharat Singh Choudhary said that work on Saunda- Mathiyana- Silgaon motor road would soon start.
He declared a sum of Rs 5 lakh of Rupees for construction of retention wall around the temple. The MlA said that the problem of drinking water scarcity in the Bhardar area would soon be solved. He informed that in the first phase a sum of Rs 12.5 crore has been approved while another instalment of Rs 7 Crore would soon be released. Famous folk (Jagar) singer Pritam Bhartawan and Manju Sundariyal enthralled the crowd with their devotional singing on the ocassion. The General Manager of Constrix India Ravindra Singh Rana, Ram Singh Rawat, President of student’s union of Garhwal university Pradeep Panwar and others were present on the occasion.
