The Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that he expected the saints to guide him with their peerless wisdom in running the Government in tune with the timeless spiritual ethos of the ancient land. “The seers used to guide the rulers in the past. The luminous tradition is still continuing and I hope that I would not be deprived of their blessings and guidance, more so as my Government is new, devoid of experiences,” he said while visiting Kankhal in Haridwar on Thursday. He also wrote down his feelings of his first visit to the Bharat Mata mandir in the visitors’ book. He was presented a Rudraksh rosary by Swami Satyamitrananda Giri and Swami Awdheshanand of Juna Akhara. He also lauded the efforts of the seers to blend patriotism with spirituality.
Shankaracharya Swami Rajeshwaranand said that the government must judiciously revamp the maths and the religious centres which are the repositories of the Indian culture. Many such centres have been reduced to the breeding ground for criminals.
CM also visited Shantikunj and sought co-operation of Gayatri Pariwar for the development projects his government would initiate. During the 40- minute discussion, Nirmal Ganga Jan Abhiyan figured prominently along with other important matters. The head of All World Gayatri Pariwar Dr Pranav Pandaya assured him of full support in the constructive and development projects the state government would initiate. The chief managing trustee of Vedmata Gayatri Trust Shailbala felicitated the CM and cabinet minister Madan Kaushik by offering Gayatri Upvastra and Yug Sahitya. The pro vice chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidayalya Dr Chinmaya Pandya informed the CM about various courses being carried out at university for all-round development of youths.
