Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Thursday directed the Urban Development Department and Ranchi Municipal Corporation to work in coordination to make Ranchi a global city so that every tourist would like to visit Ranchi. He said that the DPR for modification of Ranchi from Airport to Birsa Chowk and Morhabadi should be prepared so that it is published in the midst of July. The plan should be executed in 2 phases — the first to be completed by 15 November and the second by January 26.
Das said sanitation of the city should be maintained. Apart from developing scope for employment and trade, the city should be given grand appearance. Boards and signage should be arranged properly.
He said that that big promotional lED wall will be put on Morhabadi, Hinoo and Birsa Chowk. He directed to ensure foolproof security, supply water and electricity and be vigilant around Morhabadi so that the people could return home safe and sound till late evening.
The DPR will be prepared by Meinhardt Studio and work should be done in timeframe. All senior officers including CS Rajbala Verma will keep vigil on the project.
