An amendment will be made in the Madhya Pradesh Public Distribution System (Control) Order 2015. This decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting held here on Tuesday presided over by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. As per the decision taken, every gram panchayat of the State will now be able to operate separate fair price shops. There is a provision for allotment of one third fair price shops to Mahila Sansthas in the gram panchayats where there are no fair price shops. These shops given to Mahila Sansthas will be run by women.
The Cabinet has decided to provide 20 per cent reservation to women for direct recruitment to the posts of junior engineer in Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company and the three distribution companies. The Cabinet has decided to relax the compulsion of 33 per cent women reservation under Madhya Pradesh Civil Service (Special Provision of Appointment of Women) Rules 1997 for direct recruitment to the posts of Plant Assistant and Fire Extinguisher in Power Generating Company, line Attendant and Testing Attendant and line Attendant, Senior line Attendant and Testing Attendant in three Power Distribution Companies.
Taking into account the need for acquisition of private vehicles from time to time for various Government works like programmes of national importance, tours of national leaders, State level programmes, fairs/cultural programme/ programmes related to public awareness, disaster management, law and order, mob control etc. the Cabinet approved Vehicle Acquisition Policy in accordance with the vehicle acquisition by the State Government for election work. This policy will ensure uniformity in the programmes to be organised in the State and will also reduce complaints related to acquisition.
The Cabinet has grant approval to make Rs 194.38 crore in the form of loan for payment of DA arrears with Rs 34.37 crore which is actually the money deposited by the Madhya Pradesh Road Transport Corporation at the Industrial Court, Indore earlier, to the employees/officers currently employed with the Corporation in compliance with the order dated December 01, 2016 of the Supreme Court for payment of arrears of the Daily Allowance released from time to time in the Fourth Payscale by the Madhya Pradesh Government to the employees/officers currently employed with the corporation and those retired in the year 1998. This decision will benefit total 19 thousand 672 employees/officers working as on January 1, 1998 in the Corporation.
The Cabinet decided to replace "at least 50 acres" to "at least 10 acres" making partial amendment in the Madhya Pradesh Investment Promotion Scheme for large scale industrial and investment projects and in the Industrial Promotion Policy 2014.
The Cabinet has given approval to the State Government to give guarantee to Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company limited Jabalpur to acquire line of Credit of Rs 1240 from the Union Bank of India and to take Guarantee fee at the rate of 0.5 per cent on it.
