Following the hue and cry raised by parents and students over the alleged irregularities in publication of the CBSE Class-XII results, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday wrote a letter to Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar seeking his intervention in the matter.
Patnaik urged Javadekar for immediate measures to resolve the issue concerning the future of the students.
Earlier, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met a delegation of students and assured them to take up the issue with the Union HRD Minister for necessary action. In a Tweet, Pradhan said he requested the Union Minister to intervene in the alleged discrepancies in the results.
Results of several students in Odisha have allegedly been withheld without any apparent reason. The students and their guardians have also alleged that the evaluation of the answer sheets have been faulty.
The protesters are demanding immediate steps by the CBSE for revaluation of their answer sheets and immediate publication of the withheld results.
