CBSE extended the last date for submission of online application for UDAAN till 7 August for the girl students. The duly filled in application can also be submitted at the reception of Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro, informed Dr Hemlata S Mohan the City Coordinator of UDAAN.
In a bid to promote professional educational opportunity for the girl students who aspire to pursue higher education in premier engineering colleges in the country (Class XI and XII), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi (an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Human Resource Development) runs a project called UDAAN.
This project is assisting the girl students in preparing for the Entrance Examination of premier engineering colleges in the country. The scheme is open to the girl students studying in class XI and XII, said Mohan.
The details of the program are available at www.cbseacademic.in. The last date for the girls to submit the online application has been extended to 7 August”, she added.
Elaborating the salient features of the programme she said, the girls from PCM Stream can register themselves for UDAAN 2017-19. Weekly online contact classes will be conducted on Saturday and Sunday for the selected students.
They will get financial assistance in the form of admission and tuition fee (with minimum 75 percent attendance in UDAAN classes) on getting admission into IITs / NITs and other centrally funded engineering colleges or technical Institutes.
