A “Business Associates Fair” was organised in the Bidholi campus of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) on Wednesday.
The objective of the fair was to comprehend the latest advancements and shape of things to come in the laboratory equipment sector. Representatives of leading national and international manufacturers, vendors and dealers of laboratory equipment took part in the fair.
The day-long fair gave the faculty members the opportunity of having a face-to-face meeting with the manufacturers and vendors. The fair also served as a platform for the Business Associates to present their products and services directly to the senior management, faculties and the students of the University.
In his inaugural address, Chancellor, UPES, SJ Chopra welcomed the Business Associates and emphasised their value-addition in the process of procurement, channelising of user requirement and the solutions offered by the vendors.
Speaking on the occasion, Dean, College of Engineering Studies Dr Kamal Bansal complimented the business associates for playing an effective role between the manufacturers and the end users and thanked them for their participation in the fair that provided a unique opportunity to the faculty and students for a direct interaction and understanding the complete supply-chain system of the on-display products.
The university officials claimed that the Business Associates felt satisfied holding one-to-one interactions with the end user faculty and students that helped them in understanding the present time requirements of the industry and urged the university to hold more of such fairs on a regular basis.
