Ahead of BJP national president Amit Shah’s July 4 Ganjam visit, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organised a youth convention and a preparatory meet here on Thursday.
At the outset, the leaders held discussions on the party’s programme “Asantu Gadhiba Nua Odisha”. BJYM State vice-president Thankur Ranjit Das urged the youths to act as ambassadors of change by informing people about the Narendra Modi Government’s various welfare schemes.
BJP State secretary Bibhuti Jena urged the youths to strengthen the party and make Modi’s dream come true. District BJP president Kanhu Charan Pati said at least 20 youths from every booth would welcome BJP national president Amit Shah to Ganjam.
Morcha general secretary N Rajendra Kumar and State executive member Saroj Sabat discussed on organisational programmes. Among others, Kamana Padhy, Dharani Dhar Behera, Tiki Patro, Rabindra Sahu, Surjyamani Patro, Bikesh Panigrahi, Pravat Sadangi and Sunil Rao were present.
Thereafter, a preparatory meeting was also organised for Shah’s visit.
It was decided that party workers would go to each household and hand over invitation letters inviting them to participate in the road-show during Shah’s visit.
A ground breaking ceremony was held in Ambapua where Shah would address a meeting, informed Pati.
