BJP's executive body meeting held in city, hails Modi's leadership

The meeting of executive body of Chandigarh BJP was held under the chairmanship of unit president, Sanjay Tandon to chalk out a strategy to further strengthen the organisation in the city.

The meet was attended by party in-charge and national vice president Prabhat Jha, organisational secretary Dinesh Kumar, former MP Satya Pal Jain, Mayor Asha Jaswal among other party leaders.

During the meeting, unit president Sanjay Tandon briefed the house on various activities. He said party’s clean sweep in the zila parishad and panchayat samitis election had gave clear indication of “Congress Free” Chandigarh .

During this quarter, to mark the three years of Central Government, Finance Minister for State Arjun Ram Meghwal kicked off Modi Fest Rath, GST seminar presided over by Vijay Goyal, Advisory Board Meeting was presided by Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi which featured the key issues of Chandigarh and demarcation of deadlines to resolve the same. This was followed by the discussion on some key issues pertaining to city, said Tandon.

Former Mayor Arun Sood highlighted the issues on welding zone, employment which were well discussed within the workers. Mayor Asha Jaswal also briefed the meeting on garbage dumping ground issues and measures undertaken to cope up with the issue. She affirmed that city would be getting rid of this ongoing crisis. A presentation on Smart City of Chandigarh was also given at the meeting.

The party also deliberated on organisational issues which involved participations from all. This was followed by submission of reports by all district presidents in which details in regards to observing the birth anniversary of Deen Dayal Upadhayay was given.

While addressing the concluding session, senior party leader Prabhat Jha briefed the workers about the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said Modi’s leadership has driven the country to more progressive way.

The projects are implemented in such a way that it will benefit the large section of the society, added he.

The newly elected members of Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samitis were also honoured during the occasion.
