A BJP candidate for Zilla Parisad member post from Zone-2 in the last PRI polls, Muchhuram Mendli, lodged an FIR in Tarbha police station against Charbhata Sarpanch Prabhat Patra on Tuesday.
Mendli alleged that he was attacked by Sarpanch Patra for makng anti-BJD statement over improper implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and doctor problem in the Charbhata PHC. He also charged that Patra threatened to kill him.
Tarbha block BJP president Balmukunda Mishra warned that If no action is taken against Patra, then there would be demonstration in front of police stations.
While contacted to Sarpanch Patra said, “I have also lodged a FIR against Mendli, who used slangs against me.” An investigation is on, said police.
