'Bharat Net' project to transform rural lives: Raman

Chief Minister Raman Singh on Saturday remembered the great struggle and sacrifices made by Shaheed Veernarayan Singh. He was addressing a gathering on solemn occasion of Veernarayan Singh Memorial day at Masturi in Bilaspur.

The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh Government and Central Government have inked a MoU of Bharat Net Project in the state capital today which will transform radically the lives of villagers in the near future. Six thousand gram panchayats will be connected with Internet. Villages will be benefitted from the several social welfare schemes of the Government with the launch of ultra-modern Internet connectivity, he said. Singh said that road, rail and air connectivity are expanding rapidly in the State. The CM sanctioned  the installation of statue of Shaheed Veernarayan Singh and called upon the organisers to select an ideal spot. He announced the allotment of Rs 10 lakh for laying of a cement concrete road.
