Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday called upon the revenue field officials to be more sincere in solving the revenue cases of the people as his Government is giving top priority to transparency, technology and teamwork in governance. He said all tehsils have now been digitised and the processe of e-mutation has begun in some selected tehsils.
Patnaik was speaking here after inaugurating the 38th annual conference of State revenue field officials, including Revenue Inspectors, Amins and Supervisors. He said his Government is aware of the problems faced by the field officers and efforts are on to solve them. Revenue Minister Maheswar Mohanty and some other Ministers were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated at least three new facilities in the SCB Medical College and Hospital campus here and also inaugurated a Community Health Centre (CHC) at Markat Nagar, which had been set up by the Central Government under the National Urban Health Mission (NHUM).
The facilities inaugurated in the SCB Medical College and Hospital campus include a central auditorium, a six-storied building of the nursing college and a new women’s hostel for nursing students. Health Minister Pratap Jena was present when Patnaik inaugurated the facilities. The Chief Minister also inaugurated an energy-efficient lighting facility in the city.
Ahead of the Chief Minister’s visit, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members staged demonstrations holding black flags and bangles at CDA and Jobra. The BJP youths also hurled eggs at police vehicles at Jobra when the cops tried to control the situation.
Police detained over 50 BJYM activists.
The BJYM alleged that even though the lED light project was funded by the Centre, no BJP leaders were invited to the project’s inauguration.
In reaction, Cuttack Barabati BJD MlA Debasish Samantray said, “The BJP is doing this out of frustration.”
