Police in latehar district have discovered 5 IEDs. The 5 IEDs have been unearthed from earthen portion of a rural road Bandoowa and Jungroo under Manika police station.
SP latehar Dhananjay K Singh has confirmed the recovery of 5 IEDs which were in 5 cans each of the weight of one and a half kilogram.
SP Singh said the area from where police have found these IEDs has the influence of the sub zonal commander of CPI Maoist Girinder Yadav.
All the IEDs were defused.
The area has the foot fall of both the security forces and the Maoists admitted SP.
The IEDs were laid in series.
SP told The Pioneer ' It is difficult to guesss as to when these IEDs were so put down the earth but it is a fact these IEDs were in a ready to blast condition.
