A 35-year-old man was electrocuted while he was trimming tree at Runaha village under Nazeerabad police station area in the afternoon on Tuesday.
The deceased identified as Hari Narayan was rushed to Berasia hospital where he was declared dead.
Police said that the deceased climbed tree to cut wood during which he came into contact with the high power electricity lines and got burn injuries.
The incident took place at around 2 pm and when the family members rushed him to hospital he was declared dead at around 4 pm.
The deceased used to work as labour and was a resident of Runaha village. The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Police would investigate the matter and if negligence is found case would be registered against the responsible person for the incident.
Meanwhile, a 57-year-old police personnel who was hit by a speeding school bus on May 15 died while undergoing treatment late in the night on Sunday; deceased was undergoing treatment at a private hospital for the past 15 days.
Police said Uday Narayan Giri posted with 25th Battalion as constable died while undergoing treatment at Bansal hospital.
The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation. The bus was seized by the police but the errant driver managed to escape and is still missing. Search for the accused driver has been started.
