The director of a play school was booked for sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl at Giridhar Colony under Kolar police station area; a case was registered by Kolar police on Monday.

According to the police, the accused manager Anup Pratap Singh sexually assaulted the three year old victim who is student of pre-nursery in his play school Kidzee.

Addl SP Zone -1 Rajesh Chandel said that on Monday morning a case has been registered and investigation has been started. The victim and his parents had gone to the school to check the reason behind the sexual assault and found that the director was behind the heinous act and later the family lodged a complaint with the police.

The family members came to know about the incident after the victim reported illness and when she was taken to a hospital doctor told the parents that the victim has been sexually assaulted.

The victim revealed that the manager Anup Pratap Singh has molested her as when she was asked regarding the accused she pointed towards Singh and later medical examination was done.

Initially the parents have approached Kolar police but their complaint was not lodged and later they approached senior police officials after which Kolar police registered a case against the accused.

The police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act-2012 and have started further investigation. Till the filing of the report no arrest was done and further investigation has been started by the police.
