3 medical colleges to have 250 more MBBS seats

The State Cabinet here on Monday approved to increase 50 MBBS seats in Shyamshah Medical College in Rewa, 100 seats in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur and 100 seats in Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore.

 Similarly, an administrative approval has been given for Rs 177.55 crore and Rs 157.57 crore for construction of new medical college buildings in Chhindwara and Shivpuri, respectively.

 The cabinet has also decided to provide 334.584 hectare revenue land of Morena district on Rs one lakh lease amount to the Defence Research and Development Organisation of Government of India, New Delhi.

 Furthermore, an administrative sanction has been given by the cabinet for Rs 3,400 crore towards upgradation of major district roads through Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation with the financial assistance of New Development Bank. Under the MP Major District Road Upgradation Project, 1503 kilometer long 57 roads will be upgraded. This project will be undertaken from 70 per cent loan from the New Development bank and 30 per cent share of the state government. This roads upgradation work will be completed in four years period.

The cabinet has given approval for creation a total of 79 posts on temporary basis including 28 posts of Assistant Supervisors and 51 posts of Data Entry Operator (contractual) at district presidents office of 51 districts for district level office (local Election) of State Election commission.

 Moreover the cabinet has decided to give financial assistance of Rs. 5000 per month from the month of June, 2016 to the patient Shri Shikariya resident of Moyda, Tahsil Badwani who became visually impaired due to infection in the eye camp held at Badwani in November, 2015.
