A 25-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at his residence at leeladhar colony under Chhola Mandir police station area on Tuesday.
According to the police, the deceased Manish Vishwakarma was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Police were informed.
Police have not found any suicide note and no reason was found behind the suicide. The reason would be investigated.
Investigation Officer Ramraj Singh said that deceased used to run a Pan shop in Bhanpur. He was a habitual drinker. The family members have told the police that late in the night on Sunday the deceased returned house and after dinner went to sleep and later on Monday morning the family members spotted his hanging body after which police were informed.
On the receipt of information police team reached and started investigation. Family members have expressed ignorance regarding the reason behind the suicide. The deceased returned home in an inebriated state.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a man in the age group of 25-30 years died after he was hit by a speeding train at Aishbagh railway crossing on Monday.
Police said that the injured was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The identity of the deceased has not been established. It was a suicide or accident would be investigated.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
