A 24-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at his Bairagarh Kalan under Khajuri police station area on Friday.

Police said that the deceased Ramswaroop Jathav was found hanging with the ceiling at his house and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.

In the initial investigation the police have not found any reason behind the suicide and have not recovered any suicide note. The reason would be investigated in the further investigation.

The statements of the family members are yet to be recorded which would help in revealing the reason behind the suicide.

After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.

Meanwhile, a 38-year-old man was brutally beaten after he refused to provide money at Kolipura under Jehangirabad police station area on Friday.

According to the police, the victim Shyam Babu was on his way to home after work when the accused Kamlesh obstructed his way and asked him to provide money which the victim refused and frustrated over the refusal accused attacked him and showered punches and kicked him.

The victim lodged a complaint with the Jehangirabad police. Based on the complaint the police have registered a case under Section 383 of the IPC and started search for the accused. The crime record of the accused would be investigated. The victim was discharged after providing primary treatment after the attack.
