major fire in Pesticide godown

Indore: A major fire broke out in a pesticide godown at a private premises in Madhya Pradesh's commercial capital in the wee hours on Saturday. The blaze broke out at around 0200 hrs in the first floor of building and swept through the second floor that housed a 'papad' godown. Twenty-five fire tenders controlled in the flames in eight hours. The reason behind the fire and loss to property is yet to be ascertained. No loss of life was reported.

 

Rajnath visits Ramraja Sarkar Temple

Tikamgarh: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday visited the famous Ramraja Sarkar Temple at Orchha in Madhya Pradesh's Tikamgarh district. Singh arrived in Gwalior by a special aircraft in the morning from where he left for Orchha in helicopter. After visiting the temple, the Home Minister attended religious preacher Morari Bapu's Ram Katha. Ramraja Sarkar Temple is the only temple in the country where lord Rama is worshiped as a king. In this temple situated about 80 km from the district headquarters, lord Rama is also given a 'guard of honor' five times in a day.

 

Dastak Abhiyan for malnourished kids in State

Bhopal: A Dastak Abhiyan has been launched from December 18 to January 27, 2018 to identify malnourished children in State. As many as 2.46 lakh children have been examined during the campaign so far. Joint teams of Public Health and family Welfare and Women and Child Development is moving from door-to-door to identify malnourished children and arranging their free treatment at block or district level hospitals. Vitamin-A dose has been administered to 2.06 lakh children. The Dastak Abhiyan teams have identified 992 acutely malnourished children, 286 children with acute malnutrition and serious ailments, 720 with anaemia, 187 with pneumonia, 342 with dehydration, 2672 with other ailments and 422 with inherent diseases. Dastak Abhiyan aims at identifying malnourished, acutely malnourished, anaemic children and children with other diseases and getting them treated free-of-cost at any nearby hospital. The Dastak teams are making people from far-flung areas about child health so that children’s development is free of diseases and there is a decline in child death rate. Several times people from far-flung areas are not able to treat their children and resort to exorcism (jhad-phookh) which may make the situation worse.

 

Minister inaugurates Kuposhan Mukti Yojana

Bhopal: Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra inaugurated the Kuposhan Mukti Yojana for the families of Sahariya tribe at Neevri village in Datia district on Saturday. Mishra provided monthly financial assistance of Rs 1000 to the women of Sahariya families. This fund will be given to the women of each family every month. About 2300 families of Sahariya tribes of Datia district will benefit from the scheme. PR Minister Mishra said that Madhya Pradesh is providing wheat, rice and salt at one rupee per kg. Now with this new scheme Rs 1000 will be deposited in the account of women members of each family for nutrition. The government wants children of the Sahariya families to be healthy. He said that the Madhya Pradesh government is committed towards the development of Sahariya tribe. Mishra told that Madhya Pradesh government has taken an important decision towards the welfare of Sahariya tribe. Now the youths of this tribe will be appointed in government services without having to give written examination. Several public representatives will be present on the occasion.

 

Swachchhta Pakhwada concludes at bhel

Bhopal: At the closing ceremony of the ongoing Swachchhta Pakhwada in BHEl, Bhopal DK Thakur Executive Director BHEl, Bhopal today congratulated all the workers, supervisors and officers for their contribution in making the pakhwada successful. On this occasion all general managers and Sarpanch of the adjoining area of BHEl were present. Thakur in his address said that cleanliness is associated with daily activities and we have to ensure cleanliness everywhere around us. Appreciating the new generation youth, he said that the participation of the youth in making the initiative successful is highly commendable. Bhopal unit is committed in spreading the objective of swachhta as a revolution, added Thakur. Binoy Kumar AGM (HRM) briefed the gathering about the details of the programme held during the pakhwada and further programmes to be organised.

 

22 dignosed with different ailments

Bhopal: With the blessing of Paramhans Sant Hirdaram Sahibji and inspiration and guidance of Sant Siddh bhauji, as many as 22 old patients of different ailments have been diagnosed and given medical advice. These were the patients of 60 plus age group senior medical officer of SSEH Rajkumar Upadhayaya examined the patients. Disease wise breakup of patients is as below five patients of High blood pressure nine of diabetes, Two each of cardiac and paralytic attack, one patient of Arthritis, and four patients of respiratory disease. Upadhayaya particularly advised cardiac and respiratory patients to save themselves from cold and consult the physician time to time for follow up of their health condition.
