Shivraj completes 12 years as CM
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was congratulated for completing 12 years as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh by Public Representatives, Eminent Citizens and Officers-Employees, who reached CM House to extend their good wishes.
Citizens began visiting the CM House since morning. The prominent citizens felicitated the Chief Minister by presenting bouquets and garlands, congratulated him and prayed for his long, healthy and successful life. The Chief Minister Chouhan said that mission of his life is to bring happiness, peace and prosperity in the lives of the common men. Chief Minister’s wife Sadhna Singh was also present on the occasion.
Minister for Urban Development Maya Singh, Minister for School Education Kunwar Vijay Shah, Minister of State for Backward Class and Minority Welfare (Independent Charge) lalita Yadav, MlAs Vishnu Khatri, Rameshwar Sharma, Director General of Police Rishi Kumar Shukla, Principal Secretary to CM Ashok Barnval congratulated the Chief Minister and prayed for his healthy and prosperous life.
Minister praises CM on completion of 12 yrs
Bhopal: Minister for Urban Development and Housing Maya Singh congratulated Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on successful completion of 12 years as the Chief Minister of the state.
She said the Chief Minister Chouhan has undertaken several innovations to give new direction to the development of the state. He has brought the state out of the Bimaru Rajya (Sick State) category and has positioned it in the category of developing state, which has been applauded all over the country. Smt. Maya Singh further mentioned that Chouhan has succeeded in establishing new milestones of development and for changing scenario in all the sectors.
IGRMS to hold ‘Poonam-36’ on Dec 2
Bhopal: Under the programme of Indian classical Music, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is organising ‘Poonam-36’ on December 02. In this programme, noted classical dancer, Marami Medhi will give the presentation of Kathak dance at Avritti Bhawan open- air stage situated at lake side of Manav Sangrahalaya from 7 pm. The entry to this programme is free for all.
The Sangrahalaya under the activities of with support of ‘Aarushi’ is organising a programme ‘Jindagi Tujhe Salam’, on the occasion of ‘World Disability Day’. On Saturday, December 2, differently - abled children will participate in a painting and sports competitions at Veethi Sankul premises of IGRMS from 11 am.
The day aims to promote an understanding of people with disability and encourage support for their dignity, rights and well-being.
2 students of EPS bring laurels to Bhopal
Bhopal: Two students of Eastern Public School brought laurel to the city by topping the Cambridge International Exam language assessments. Zubiya Siddique in Japanese language and Mohammad Iliyas Khan in Urdu language assessment have topped in the country.
Both these students will receive their ‘Top in Country’ achievers certificates at Cambridge Outstanding learner Awards events to be held in January or February 2018 in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore. There are more than 250 Cambridge IGCSE School in the country competing for the awards. IGCSE is an equivalent International Programme at Gr 10th level.
Recently another student of EPS Taib Khalid was in news for clearing the Next Genius Scholarships for Higher Education, 9000+ students appeared for this online test and only 7% of those who qualified will get scholarship to study in US, Taib Khalid of EPS is one of them.
Congratulations to the students’ parents and teachers for their joint efforts in these incredible feats, it seems EPS community has a lot to celebrate and finish the academic year 2016-17 on a high note.
SN Rupla thanks citizens
Gwalior: Divisional Commissioner SN Rupla who is retiring on Thursday, thanked the citizens for the love and warmth they showed him during his 17 months tenure in Gwalior. Speaking at the press conference on the eve of his retirement he said that he was getting support and love of the citizens from the very first day.
Talking at length about his tenure as the Divisional Commissioner he said that his first priority was to develop Gwalior as a Smart City.
As a representative of the government he could resolve even 20 year old issues in the Commissioner’s court. He further said that from the very first day he had opened the doors of the Divisional Commissioner’s office for the public. He added that during his tenure he had resolved 450 matters related to Revenue. He said that this would not have been possible without the active support of the public and the officials. He signed off saying that the memories of the love and support of the people of Gwalior will always remain with him.
Rupla had joined the services as Deputy Collector. later on he was awarded IAS. He had tenures in Jabalpur and Sheopur as collector. In 2016 he was appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Gwalior.
Cleanliness drive in Gwalior
Gwalior: In continuation to the cleanliness drive the Municipal Commissioner Vinod Sharma has instructed the Additional Commissioner to form a team and go on inspection in the city from 5 in the morning. He has instructed the AMC and his team to apprehend those who defecate in the public. This was in accordance with the Cleanliness Mission 2018, aimed at making Gwalior the No 1 Clean City in the state.
Unfortunately one could see people defecating in public without any fear or uneasiness. Neither the Additional Commissioner nor his team was anywhere to be seen. Heaps of garbage could be seen on the streets. There were only a few cleaning staff to remove the debris and filth that is the breeding centers of mosquitoes.
When the matter was brought to the notice of Vinod Sharama, the Municipal Commissioner, he said that he had instructed the officials to go on inspection from 5 in the morning. He added that he will ask them for an explanation as to why they hadn’t gone on the inspection. He further said that from now onwards they will have to photograph the areas they had visited and enclose the photographs along with their report to be submitted every evening.
AGM held for assaulting women
Bhopal: The MP Nagar police have nabbed a 55-year-old AGM of Madhya Pradesh State Civil Corporation for sexually assaulting a computer operator woman at his office on Tuesday. Police said that the accused Rajesh Shiva sexually exploited the victim by threatening her of job and luring her of permanent job.
