Capacity building programme to be held at Brilliant Convention Centre today

Indore: A capacity building training programme will be organised on Thursday at Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore. It is to be noted that under Swachch Bharat Mission Indore has been ranked first and the cleanest city of the country. In order to maintain the position various steps are been taken by the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC). Among the various steps taken, work on waste management is also being carried out in the city. Hence, keeping in view the Waste Management Rule 2016, a daylong capacity building training programme will be held at the convention centre of the city. The training programme is being organised by IMC in association with the Ministry of Urban Development and Central Pollution Control Board. During the daylong capacity building training programme the experts will talk about various topics. The experts will talk on Solid Waste Management Rule 2016, Bio Medical Waste Management Rule 2016, E-waste Management 2016, Hazardous and other Waste Rule 2016, Plastic Waste Management Rule 2016 and Construction and Demolition Waste Management Rule 2016. The event is divided into six sessions that will begin at 9:30 am and will continue till 5:30 pm.

GeM promotion workshop organised at Academy of Administration

Bhopal: A workshop to promote the use of Government e-Marketplace (GeM) in Government institutions was organised at the Academy of Administration by the Micro, Small and Medium Industries (MSMI) department. The Director General of Supply & Disposal (DG&D) of Commerce Ministry of the Government of India Rajesh Jain gave a presentation of GeM portal at the workshop. On the occasion, Jain told that goods used in various departments including Ministry, departments, corporations and Boards worth Rs 400 crore was procured through e-procurement within less than 6 months of developing GeM portal. Through this portal, 480 types of office use goods in Government departments, corporations, boards can now be procured at reasonable prices. Details about the vendor registration, order placement and payment processing were given through the portal. Principal Secretary of Micro, Small and Medium Industries Department Vl Kantarao apprised with the process of procurement of goods used in Government departments, corporation and boards. Officer/ representatives of all Bhopal-based departments, corporations and boards were present.

 land allotted to Nagar Palika Nigam for dairy management at Parvaliya Sadak village

Bhopal: Nagar Palik Nigam Bhopal has been allotted land for dairy management at Parvaliya Sadak village in Huzur tehsil. This decision was taken at a meeting of the inter-departmental committee chaired by Revenue, Science and Technology Minister Umashankar Gupta. Nagar Parishad Pipliya Mandi has been allotted land at Amarpura village for Peyajal Avardhan Yojana during the meeting. Decision has also taken to allot land to Krishi Upaj Mandi Dabhoura District Rewa, Up Krishi Upaj Mandi Badi, District Raisen and Krishi Upaj Mandi Rala of Sehore district. Principal Secretary Revenue Arun Pandey, Secretary Hariranjan Rao, P Narhari and Commissioner Mandi Rakesh Shrivastava were present at the meeting.

 Min dedicates newly-constructed building of Anganwadi Kendra in Bheemnagar

Bhopal: Revenue Science and Technology Minister Umashankar Gupta today dedicated the newly-constructed building of Anganwadi Kendra at Ward no; 33 in Bheemnagar. Gupta distributed ladli lakshmi scheme certificated to girls. The Revenue Minister said on the occasion that there are nearly 37 lakh ladli lakshmis in the state. There are 2600 ladli lakshmis in South-West Vidhan Sabha constituency and 1200 ladli lakshmis in ward no; 35. Gupta said that toilets would be constructed in every house. Sulabh Shauchalayas will be constructed near houses with no space for toilets. He also told about the Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana. local public representatives will also be present.

 Journalists can apply for Health and Accident Group insurance till Sept 4

Bhopal: Eligible journalists can apply for benefits of Journalist Health and Accident Group Insurance Scheme till September 4, 2017. The date of insurance policy of journalists that was to expire in the month of August has now been extended till September 30. It is mandatory for journalists with policy till the month of October to apply till September 4, 2017. Now the policy will be applicable simultaneously from October 1st. Application form, premium index and detailed information about the scheme is available on the website of the Department of Public Relations www.mpinfo.org. Applications are to be sent directly to the Department of Public Relations (Accreditation branch), Bhopal.

loP Ajay Singh questions CM on moving SC against Jabalpur High Court’s verdict

Bhopal: leader of the Opposition in the State assembly Ajay Singh has questioned the Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan as what was the compulsion behind State Government moving to Supreme Court, despite the fact that Jabalpur High Court’s verdict was in favour of youths of Madhya Pradesh. Singh alleged that according to the rules, only 15 per cent of seats have been reserved for students from other states and 85 for Madhya Pradesh students but still state government is working in direction which is not beneficial for State youths. Singh further alleged that the issue is related to the NEET and in this examination, the State government instead of taking side of youths of Madhya Pradesh, interested in admitting students from other States.
