India’s first Post Payment Bank unveiled
Nation’s first India Post Payment Bank was inaugurated here in Capital City. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely and other dignitaries through online medium inaugurated the bank. The banking service initiated with the motto to serve people residing in rural pockets will boost the financial institution setups. Maximum interest rate is kept 5.5 per cent.
Instructions to DEOs, DSEs to ensure bench desk
School Education and literacy Department, Secretary, Aradhana Patnaik including JEPC Project Director, Mukesh Kumar through video-conferencing on January 30 has instructed the DEOs and DSEs of all the districts to ensure benches and desks in every government school in their respective districts. CCl pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi
Employees of Central Coalfields limited (CCl) on Monday paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Darbhanga House on his 69th death anniversary. Director (Personnel) RS Mahapatro and Arbind Prasad along with other employees paid floral tribute on photo of Mahatma Gandhi and observed two minutes silence. General Managers, Head of the Department from headquarters, representatives of trade unions and large number of employees were present on the occasion.
Harihar Prasad passes away
Educationist-cum-social worker Harihar Prasad (84), a retired govt teacher, breathed his last on Saturday-Sunday midnight. Prasad was the father of the Pioneer correspondent from lohardaga district Vinod Prasad. He had retired from service in 1995 from Govt Hindi Middle school. He had been the first president of Primary Teachers’ association. He was also the patron of Kumhar society, Central Mahavir Mandal and Central Durga Puja Committee. He was also life time member of Ajay Udyaan. Prasad’s funeral was performed at Koel river bank on Sunday. Union Minister Sudarshan Bhagat, MlA Sukhdeo Bhagat, ex MlC Praveen Kumar Singh, SP Karthik S, DSP Ashish Mahli alongwith scores of eminent people paid trbute to the departed soul.
DPS students qualify for Olympiad
The students of DPS, Ranchi have qualified for level-2 International Olympiad of English language (IOEl)-2017. Anwesha Sarangi, Ayushui Sarangi, Tripali Tah and Maitrey Tah scored 1st rank and won gold medal while Malay Devashish and Raghav Agarwal scored 2nd and won silver. Pratyush Thakur got rank 3rd and won bronze. Principal, Dr. Ram Singh congratulated the students and and encouraged them to do better in the 2nd and 3rd level.
lDMT Programme of JCI ‘Udaan’
The lDMT Programme of JCI, Ranchi “Udaan” concluded on Monday. Chief Guest ZVP Abhinav Chaurasiya trained the members on Interpersonal Skills and Abilities which will guide them to perfection according to president, Pallavi Sabu. Abhinav Chaurasiya also launched the Members Directory of JCI “Udaan” today and a new calendar was released too. JC Vinita Jain and JC Isha Fogal prepared the directory while the calendar was prepared under the inspection of Archana Muraraka and Santosh Tulsyan.
VVPS remembers Mahatma Gandhi
Vidya Vikas Public School, Ranchi on Monday observed Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary martyrs day in school. A special assembly was organised where Principal Rajan Varghese alongwith students paid homage to Father of the Nation and described the values before to the students. The Music teacher performed the favourite bhajan of Bapuji. During the observation teachers, students, non teaching staffs and paid tribute to the great soul by offering 2 minutes silence.
Officials at Collectorate remember martyrs
On Monday, staffs and officials at Ranchi Collectorate observed Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary. January 30 is observed as martyrs day. Ranchi DC Manoj Kumar along with other department officials at DC office observed a two-minute silence and remembered the sacrifice made by the freedom strugglers for gaining independence.
Martyrs Day held at Vikash Bharti
Remembering the sacrifice of martyrs, the volunteers including others at Vikash Bharti observed Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary. A special prayer was conducted on the campus premises of Vikash Bharti. All people associated with the NGO were present on the occasion.
SBPS pays homage to Bapu
Students of Sarala Birla Public School paid homage to the 'Father of Nation’ by observing two minutes silence on Monday. A special assembly was conducted in which students presented ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’. They presented some incidents related to his life through their speeches. Book Fair at DPS Ranchi
A book fair was held in Delhi Public School like every year on Monday for class Prep to 8th class students. Principal Dr. Ram Singh inaugurated the event and the children were fascinated to find so many books, showing great interest in books on fairy tales, fun, minerals and resources, dolls and journey of the solar system. They also took the help of their teachers and friends while selecting the books.
