An 18-year-old girl committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at her Om Nagar residence under Kolar police station area on Sunday.

According to the police, the deceased Rubina Khan was found in an unconscious state and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.

Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation. In the initial investigation police have not found any reason behind the suicide family members are yet to be questioned which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide.

The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation.

The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.

Meanwhile, a 32-year-old man was found dead near railway tracks at Narayan Nagar under Baghsewania police station area on Sunday.

According to the police the deceased Nitesh Neelkanth was found injured near railway tracks and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.

Police team rushed to the spot and in the initial investigation it was found that on the day of the incident deceased had a fight with his brother Yogesh while they were having liquor at liquor shop at Narayan Nagar and later he left the shop and was found dead near the railway tracks.

The deceased was a scarp dealer and heavily addicted to liquor. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
