Eleven officials would be presented with pistols under esteemed award for excellence in service for police officials KF Rustomji awards which would be presented on Independence Day.The list of awardees of the esteemed award includes Superintendent of Police (CM Security) Manu Vyas, AIG PTRI Santosh Kori, AIG Cyber Crime Shailendra Singh Chouhan which are from the state capital who would be presented with .32 bore pistol.

SP PTS Umaria Mukesh Kumar Vaishy, Addl SP Ujjain Neeraj Pandey, SDOP Katni Kamla Joshi, CSP Sarafa Indore Sunil Kumar Patidar and Inspector Mandla Varsha Patel are among the other awardees who would be presented with .32 bore pistol. Under KF Rustomji 12 bore gun would be awarded to DSP City Kotwali Chhindwara Sumeg Singh and Inspector Vinod Kushwaha.

The awards include Rs 5 lakh or Rs 2.5 lakh or a .32 bore pistol or 12 bore gun. Madhya Pradesh police started celebrating birth centenary of late KF Rustomj last year and these awards are part of the celebrations of birth centenary of late KF Rustomj and excellence in work is the sole criteria for the awards.

Meanwhile Transport Commissioner Shailendra Shrivastava would be promoted as DG and would join in place of retiring Police Housing Board Chairman and Special DG Sarabjeet Singh.

A 1986 year batch IPS Shrivastava has served on several important positions. He served as Bhopal and Indore IG and apart from these, he served as Director of Sports and Youth Welfare. He also held the position of ADG SAF after which he was posted as Transport Commissioner.
