Now a device that will ensure that you never miss out on your daily exercise regimen, says PIONEER HEAlTH
Modern deskbound and inactive lifestyle is continuously affecting health-conditions of young generation, as it usually puts off its daily exercises and gym-going schedule just out of lethargic attitude. This may even lead to health-oriented dangerous consequences in the near future. Seeing a notable reduction in an individual’s productivity and development due to such a relaxing behaviour of skipping exercise, snoozing alarm; researchers at lovely Professional University — Dr Ramandeep Singh and his team — have found out a solution against this all by inventing a befitting device. In a way, the device is a gate-way to reduce the risk of getting so many diseases, with cardiovascular diseases and cancers at the top of them. Maintaining people’s health is its primary goal, as people, particularly youth, are the real wealth of a country.
Called the bracelet, the wireless fitness alert device ensures that its wearer will not miss out on any of scheduled morning walks, jogging, yoga, gym. The device remains connected wirelessly to user-wearer’s smartphone and its sensors and GPS-based operations wake up and motivate the wearer to fulfill daily exercise commitments.
The device also enforces itself upon the wearer to ensure that he is never lazy in following devices’ alerts. Through continuous usage, this enforced behaviour turns into a great-good habit, which further leads to healthy body and mind. Through experimental testing, lPU researchers also claim that working-professionals like this device very much. In fact, human beings only need an immediate push to do or achieve something good for them.
Dr Ramandeep explains: “Suppose a wearer of the fitness gadget plans for gym, garden or any other spot for walk or exercise for next morning, the wearer feeds the same details and time on the wirelessly connected mobile app under GPS control. This bracelet device gets locked on the wrist. When the due time is there, continuous vibrations and beep sounds from the gadget start alerting and promoting the wearer to reach to the programmed destination. Since it is GPS-monitored the vibrations and beep sounds only stop when the wearer reaches the destined spot it can be unlocked. As such, the wearer is compelled to follow the already desired routine. Continuous wearing of this device then turns into a habit with the wearer.”
In fact, the best way for reducing the bad-effects of certain modern patterns of living is by educating people through such research-works of utmost importance. Particularly concentrating in educating youth as changing the way the youth live will certainly guide future generations as well. Promotion of healthy life style, including proper eating, physical activity, and other better ways, will certainly have its positive impacts.
The cost of the gadget will be around Rs 1,500-Rs 2,000 and will be available in the online in a few months.
