Tamil Nadu CM urges Modi to settle Cauvery water dispute

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and submitted a memorandum with various demands of the State. In his first visit as the Chief Minister, Palaniswami urged for settlement of the  Cauvery water sharing dispute and exemption of the state from NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) for medical courses.

The detailed memorandum also sought central funds for damage caused by cyclone 'Vardah' in the meeting this evening. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister will also meet Central Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Venkaiah Naidu, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Piyush Goyl on Tuesday to discuss various projects concerning the state.

On Monday evening the Chief Minister hosted dinner for senior officers from Tamil Nadu cadre working with Centre.
