The Easter Central Railways (ECR) has extended the running of some summer special trains for one fortnight. These trains were being run between Delhi and Darbhanga, lucknow and Kolkata, Anand Vihar to Jayanagar, Ferozepur and Darbhanga and Anand Vihar and Saharsa. These special trains, both up and down, were scheduled to be run up to June 27 and 30 but now they have been extended till July 10 to 17.
According to ECR CPRO A K Rajak, the ECR General Manger DK Gayen released a booklet Satarkta Sandesh at a special function at ECR headquarters in Hajipur. On this occasion 39 grade III and IV employees were awarded for their best performance in
the year. At another function the ECR gave away prizes to its employees who participated in the Hindi essay writing and Hindi poetry recitation competition. The theme of the essay writing and poetry recitation was “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”. The first three awardees will represent ECR at the national competition to be organized by the Railway Board, said Rajak.
The ECR also held its first Bharat Scouts and Guides awards 2017 where the children coming from different zones of ECR were greeted by Gayen and his wife Shibani who gave them away prizes anf praised their services.
